UNFOLD 2019 艺术书展M50创意园区内 Exhibition Space: M50 Creative Park
① 视频装置 – 在2019年 UNFOLD 上海艺术书展上，The Future Publishing 将展示一个关于艺术出版对城市重要性的新装置，因对于一本书籍来说，它的重要性不仅针对一代人而是多代人的文化影响。此 Video 现场装置将放映从对大学专家、书店、艺术家和出版商的采访种所获取的对话信息，以勾画出阿姆斯特丹是一个如何被书籍与对设计的重视而沉淀下来，成为当下”荷兰设计”标签下的城市轮廓。
② 播客&音乐&出版 – The Future Publishing 邀请朋友 Aron Eilander 和 Red Light Radio 一起来到上海参加 UNFOLD，通过与现场参加 UNFOLD 的艺术出版社和艺术家的简短采访来记录当下艺术书展的在现场意义。 通过这样的互动，他们将概述这段书展举办期间上海 M50 创意园区及其他城市区块正在发生的事情。播客节目将纪录 Red Light Radio Amsterdam 在现场与 UNFOLD 2019 参展单位、书展来访读者的采访记录，关于其艺术出版活动、艺术家作品和读者逛展体验的采访，现场也将有 The Future Publishing 邀请的 DJ 在书展现场呈现的音乐节目。 三天的书展现场，由 The Future Publishing 策划的文化活动将会与 UNFOLD 2019 上海艺术书展联合集结成一本新书，在不久的将来出版并进行传播。

At UNFOLD 2019 Shanghai Art Book Fair, The Future Publishing presents a new installation about the importance of art publishing for the city and the cultural impact it has not only for one generation but for many. This installation uses conversations with experts from universities and bookstores, to artists and publishers, to sketch out the contours on how Amsterdam has been shaped by the books created within the city. In addition, The Future Publishing has invited a few friends (Aron Eilander, and Red Light Radio) to join the book fair to document the activities through short interviews with publishers and artists. With this they will create an overview of what is happening in Shanghai and beyond. The program will be kicked off with a small get together with music and drinks.
The Future is a multidisciplinary editorial, design, curation, and publishing studio based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. It was founded by Klara van Duijkeren and Vincent Schipper in the summer of 2013. Rather than look at the word “PUBLISH” to be restricted to the book, they interpret it as meaning “to make public”. In this way, experimental or new ideas can be published through the best possible medium. This can include exhibitions, video installations, cultural programs, artist in residencies, or publications. All projects, however, always have printed matter somewhere in the process. These publications are released under the imprint The Future Publishing.
Lokaal Internationaal represents a new approach to international collaboration. How it can be created and further developed, now and in the future. Lokaal Internationaal is based on the idea that trust and face to face contact are the most important aspects of starting to work together, especially internationally.
